| The Phantom of the Opera Lon Chaney Bust |

| Here we are again. Up close and personal with the Phantom. The Phantom of the Opera that is. The story, the monster has been worked and reworked over and over again, since the first time we saw him in the nineteen twenties flick, starring Lon Chaney Sr. In my mind, the earliest version was the classic, never to be equaled by any others thus far. Mr. Chaney was a master at doing his own make-up, distorting his features, into horrific shapes and B&W tones of gigantic proportions. I'll always be grateful to men like this from yesteryear, for their genius and daring, to go where others only dreamed of. Geometric Design, is one of my very favorite model makers. As far as I'm concerned they have captured the very essence of this being, with this bust of the Phantom. I am hoping that I created the same feel with the painting, assembly and graphics of this bust, that they did. I hope you enjoy what I have done and the titles I decided on for each composition with graphics. |
