Twenty Million Miles to Earth
Just another one of the marvelous creatures that Ray Harryhausen created during
his wonderful time of creativity and design.  This was a production which came out
of Italy, maybe the reason I like it so much.  We have a creature that came from
another world, landed in some kind of tiny capsule and grew to mammoth
proportions in a little amount of time.  Ah Hollywood, ah worse, Italy...they can do
anything they please and get away with it.

I had a wonderful time creating this diorama and maybe someday I'll create a story
for this model.  But I have my doubts.  I to think of him just the way he is, that'sa
Italian.  Now enjoy the pictures I took and the collage I created in Photoshop of Ymir
and the elephant.

PS:  I had to recreate this page because it got lost somewhere in the reshuffle of the
entire site.  I'm sure once I learn Flash some I'll add some do dads to jazz up this
page some more, for now it is what it is and that's what it is.

Feet like a chicken.
Mustache on his lip.
Eye shadow blue?  
Well aint he cute.
An orange crest on his
head.  And 3 fingers on
his hands.  I wonder if
Mr. Harryhausen would
have colored him up
this way.
In the movie YMIR
fights an elephant.
That's as big as he got
in the flick.  They shot
him down from one of
the Roman coliseums.  
Not to dramatic an
ending for our monster,
but I guess the Empire
state building wasn't
available at the time.
