Brain Waves
What kind of articles will we have next month? Who'll be in our Artists Corner? Where will my thoughts have led me for this new design for a Civil War diorama. What new comic with grace us to tickle your funny bone? Where will my stories go? Will I have completed more of the Geometric busts? Will I be showing another drawing from the book, I Me Sinner. Just to tease your brain. You'll just have to wait and see. I promise I won't let you down.
If you have any idea's, comic ideas for our Creature or other classic monsters, creatures or aliens, or news that you feel should or could be included in my News Letter, just email me today or before the 1st of next month. And ... If you think your work should be spot lighted in our Artists Corner you should email me too.
Hope to see you then.
When it happens. If I can be there, I will.

It's a test for the artist to work up his thoughts in whatever way shape or form
that will help him to create the final piece of art. For me, sometimes it's a
composed Photoshop image that's built up from many images. The process
began with thoughts from the title of a chapter from the WIP book "I Me Sinner".
To our right, you can see one of my latest pieces from the book, simple called,
as the chapter is titled, "The Scream". The photo-composition is made-up of
some, seven images, shot of my favorite subject, me, lol. Well the darn thing is
a self portrait, so who else should I choose. In the drawing I brought other
elements necessary to add flavour and meaning to the final thoughts. I always
include those bugs, I love ants, used to love to play with them as a child, and
Mr. Spider, well they're just one fascinating creature. Then there are those
demons in and out of me, who just won't let go. I've added more fingers and a
grotesque pose of the hands. Distorted and in pain. The over sized, and
twisted mouth add to the mood. I think it worked out well.

Without a doubt, that's our Homer. He's a deep pit of emotions and joy. I'm so grateful
for this wonderful character, I get to work with each month, cause I get to show a side of
me, others might not known that existed. This month being Valentines Day, I get to
show off his tender feelings inside and out. For Homer, everything is growing up hearts
and flowers. Heart shaped leaves and heart shaped flowers. And that's Cupids
arrows poking through those hearts, all around him. I just love doing these two News
Letters, one for us, and one for Store 1220, on Woodhaven Boulevard, here in New
York, for the Home Depot.
With all these ways of expression I have, I'm truly blessed to be doing a light hearted
cartoon in this mix. Let's see ... Next month, Spring is right around the corner and
there's St. Patrick's Day. Humm, I already had Homer in a kilt and blowin' his
bagpipes. I've already set in up in a field of 4 leaf cover, so ... Don't worry I'll think of
something for Homer.
Hope to see you next month, when I'll show you what he's up to.

Homer's snow people, just as is.
Homer, he's such a lovable character. As I've said many times before, it's one of the things I anticipate doing
each month, creating the next issue of the Home Depot News Letter. Taking Homer and dealing with safety issues in
the store, or letting him portray a months Holiday, like Christmas or St. Patty's Day. Or merging him with one of the
HD Associates of Managers in a photo composition, is more than
great fun, it's that month outlet that takes me other places, different
than my horror or serious characterizations of my emotions, drag me
along. You know, "All work and no play makes for a very dull life."
So Homer plays and I follow close behind.
I always ready to grab onto an idea, that's fallen into my lap.
Like waking up to these two snow people, I saw as I glanced outside
my kitchen window, a bright and shinny white day last month.
Everything was a "White", all was clean, just as God intended it to
be, what a wonderful way to start off my day.
As always, I love to share the good things I experience, just to
brighten up your day a bit too. I hope my angle of Homer did just this.

Creech Cow Comics
The Creature from the Black Lagoon. Hands down, my favourite monster
ever. So with a witty and sometimes slightly tilted mindset, I decided that having
a comic done, working around a ridiculous theme, sounds like great fun to me.
I remember the joy I had creating these first three comics. And how unhappy I was when I donated them
to a worthy cause. I miss them greatly, so the other day I said to myself, "Gosh why don't I bring back that
joy and continue with the path of making a monthly comic for my News Letter."
So I picked up my pencil, and let imagination for the unknown take front and center in my head. What
came out were two new comics. Then, I decided that I would start what is to be a joyful event each month.
I'll be taking the creature or some other Alien, Monster or Creature, and placing them in a comical scene.
I've already got new titles I dreamed up for the Creature next month. Just you wait and see.

Creature from the Black Lagoon Bust
Here I go again, having a grand time with what I'm doing. Who could ask
for more in life. By this stage of life, if you haven't found your part of this
lifes story, you most likely never will. Ah, that's not fair, never say never.
But this is it for me. Each time I paint up a model, it's an experience filled
with wonder and joy. The time flies and all other worries and discontent
disappears. That's a big plus for me. Same happens when I write, play
music, create these News Letters, draw and so on. So believing that
tomorrow will be as fulfilling as today, isn't such a hard thing to do.
I hope you click on the image and come to the page where you can see
and enjoy all of the other pictures I took of this pretty large bust.

Civil War Diorama's
I was approach by a friend who asked me. "Would I consider putting another item on my plate." Oh man, you gotta
know, that my only concern is spreading myself to thinly. Being able to give the right amount of attention to another
direction. But his suggested to me was intriguing to say the least. It was something I knew I could sink my teeth into,
combining the art already on my table with things so different than
what I've been doing.
The Civil War. A brutal time in history, yet so very important to our
countries existence, as it stands. The death and agony that went along
with the medical capabilities and the science of the doctors serving in
and on these battle fields, was a horrible place to imagine, let alone or
see photo images of, and now bring to life through a diorama, in all its
gory and direct detail. It's a part of our Countries history and I'm
honoured to be part of that experience. So I've accepted the
challenge that the "Sons of the Union Veterans" has asked me to do.
Here are some images given me, as to suggestions for a diorama.

Pictures are graphic and not for the faint of heart.
