The Artists Corner.

United States Currency.

I trust, no one will be bothered by the illustrations I was asked to
make for a good friend of mine, who is in charge of all of the
cashiers at the Home Depot.

Soon it's going to be Cashiers month at the Depot,
and it's her idea to treat them to what she calls,
"Homer Money" as a cute perk.

So she says to me,
"Rich can you create Homer Money in denominations of
$1's and $5.
So who am I to deny the wishes of a friend,
whose got the best interests of her workers in mind.

And the challenge ... Bring it on.

Here's what I came up with for each bill.
I hope the US isn't put off by what I've done.
It's all in good humor and good taste.
No disrespect to any of the presidents gone by.

What I did was to draw each of the Presidents trying to
combine the good humor of the Home Depot comic
and the original drawings of those Presidents.
I also took the liberty of changing the line,
"United States of America" to "United States of Home Depot."
Plus I removed the Signature on each bill and replaced it with
the combined name of the President and Homer.
Like
Homerton Depot for Washington.
And LincHomer Depot for Lincoln.

Again, these certainly are all done with good intend and not to be a
representation of any real bill or to be past off as such.

Thanks friend, for coming up with this cute suggestion for illustrating.
This is just the thing I love to do.

To the News Letters previous issues.
I've been following Bill Jones (MonsterJones) work,
ever since I started modeling, many moons ago.  He's
always been an inspiration to my studies and
entertainment.  I think it's his youthful bravado, that
shines through each piece that he creates.  With no
doubt, I can't say it better than the work he does and the
web site I'm linking you to, that will take you to a way of
thinking we all should delight in and partake in, in total,
and not in part.
To my left, is one picture, that says, "Every picture
tells a story."  And for sure, that one tells plenty.  Here
are two others, I'm sure will help set the stage for who
Bill is, and how he loves to live.
I praise you Monster Jones. What else need I say.

I Me Sinner.
Chapter Seven . . .

Here's one of the most difficult chapters I've written thus far in the book.  I guess
it's because, if I'm not honest in writing it, if I'm not hard hitting, if I don't aim to the
mark that lies before me, it will make all that is to come totally pointless and
effective as a story And as believable and memorable as a day in the dump.

Here is the "Me" and my sin, behind that closed door.  Oh yeah, the beasts that
surround me always, are taking advantage of the situation as they always did.  But
I cannot be fooled, by this point in life, I'm as wrong as the demons that play upon
me, my guilt is sunken in and deeper than the surface.   To those who think this
may be some pornographic recount of my sordid and dismal life go away ... For it
is not, nor ever written as that.  This again, is the tale of a youth who is demented
and illed by what he's become because of his lust and his fantasies.  To me, the
telling of this tale in its entirety is necessary as a cure all for what still ails me
today.  This is why the story goes on as it does.  It is done, to pull out all the stops
and face the truths and the beasts in all their morbid tones and confrontations.

Be warned, this chapter is not for the squeamish, nor for the sullen in heart.  It
tells the sins of the man, as it was recorded now and from his memory.  It is as
vivid as the day that it happened.  More than once, countless times and place and
until these very days.

1st Anniversary

Oh yeah . . .
It's been one year now in publication
and I for one, am very proud of where I've been and what I've shown
over that period of time.

I think my favorite addition to our letter, is the addition of the
Artist's Corner.  Showing off the skills and talents of those from
different avenues of art.

I've directed my focus on the telling of my where abouts too,
always being honest and complete,
as to my own skills, talents and growth.

I've tried to keep all that is said and shown as
entertaining and informative.  Always keeping things brief
and hopefully, "On the money."

I hope you agree and will give me back feedback by emailing me at
richardcacioppo2000@yahoo.com

Communication is the foundation of entertainment and growth.
It's the link I strive to attain, through my words and my work.

Thanks for sharing all this the past year
and I hope for many more to come.

My Music/Model/Bedroom Studio
How many times have you redesigned your life.  Found that change was the healthy thing to do to solidify
your present, state of mind.  Gosh, I loose count.

My wood shop ... That's a place that over the past twenty years, has gone through transformations that
kept in step with the work I was doing and the desires of my heart, for that work.  I finally came to the
realization that having every tool ever created was only a game I was playing with myself.  That going the
largest tools I could buy, for that space, wasn't necessarily the end all for all projects to come.  So last
month, it was re-evaluation time.  I decided it was high time to sell off some of the tools that had been
saw dust collecting for years and were being used only at a minimum ... So I did.  And now, I can actually
see clear to the other end of the shop.  Bravo!

My bedroom ... A place I've turned into a studio for this point and time.  I've reshuffled it in total.  Moving
my king size bed some three feet.  Making a small model table to paint up my work.  Juggling the music
equipment that stood cramped and dejected in my mind.  I bought myself a PA, which now is the hub of
all I do.  Linking up all the microphones, the keyboard, the bass amp, the guitar amps, the acoustic guitar
and the recording device.  Now I can have little jam sessions with others, "Hey Jones.  Wanna jam!"
Now I can loop my own work, practice, discover and record as I will.  It's all a joy to be part of and to long
a wait in my mind, gone by.

I've also added a book cabinet I built some years back.  There I've put lighting on every shelf, where I can
display the models built and painted over the years.  I've adorned the walls with shelves to hold models
too.  For sure, it's not my total plan for the rest of my life.  For who wants to have a "Studio" sleeping with
their music equipment and horror models.  Not me, in my mind it's only a temporary living and holding
place for my work and peace to survive and be real.  A place I can count on for creative work to endure
and be enhanced by its environment.  It is what it is until another time, hopefully sooner than later in
design.

I hope you'll partake in the pictures below of these two new work spaces.  Yesterday, July 19th, I picked
up my guitar and played for close to two hours without hesitation and in delight of who I am and what I've
accumulated over the years of learning from others of merit and joy.  I hope to do those jam session with
other musicians, I hope to record, I hope to paint and I hope to lay back in my bed and relish in all the
gifts I been blessed with and long nothing more than to share with those who'll accept and be part of "Me."

The Predator masked.
$1
$5
This is where it really gets to be fun.  I'm picking up the pieces of the
diorama's that's sat in the real of my shop, covered with sawdust for way to
long now.  Even this Predator lay in pieces, having to be glued back together.
But now I'm raring to go, and I spent the last four days painting this Predator
masked.  I really liked the way he came out, I hope you do too.

Below are some pictures of it finished and set up with a flat back drop.
And then I put it in the diorama itself.  Cleaning up all the residue that
accumulated over the time it lay.  After these pictures below, I'll tell you what I
have in store for the rest of the diorama.  Over the year it's been brewing in
my sub-conscious, just waiting for this moment to materials.  I'm pulling out
all the stops on this one.  Read it and I'm sure you'll agree.

The Predator masked.
In the diorama.
The Predators
verses the Aliens
and the Watcher.
This is where it really is fun.  I got my latest Predator and put him into the
diorama, the scene that's been craving for his participation and input.

I was totally high putting him into place.  Just as I dreamed it.  And just
where I wanted it in total.  Taking pictures from every conceivable angle is
what I was dying to do, and I did.  It was great cleaning all of the crud of the
models, checking them out, knowing that I would be retouching each of them
before I am done with this baby.

Like I said, I've got so many plans for where I want to take it before I'll
call it complete.  One of the pictures included is a sky I've decided is a must
for the overall mood I'll be making.  I want the final product to be more than a
single view into this world, I want this to be, "Through a looking glass."  I'll be
making the sky out of Plexiglas and painting it to be a moonlit night, just as in
this picture I've Photoshop'd up for my work.  I'll have the sky painted in
transparent colors and even more for the moon, because I'll be back-lighting
it so it all shines down as if it were a real sky above.  It's a night scene and
that's the atmosphere I'm trying to create.  This is a dark scene in the forest.
I've also decided to enclose the scene on left and tight too.  With a similar
looked given with the trees as a back-drop.  I'll also be enclosing the entire
outside of the dio with trees and foliage.  This is a full what dio's are all about.
Taking them to the limit, with no holds barred and no half-way measures
aloud.  Any more suggestion for this baby, fire away.  I was even considering
putting in a working waterfall in the back-ground feeding into the stream.

Oh ... let's not forget about the other Alien I'll be adding too.  That's one
of things on my agenda for next time 'round.  This Alien will be in a doggie
stance of attack, facing off with the Predator at the stream bed.  Sounds like
good fun to me.  And isn't that the main reason we do things like this.

Now check out what I've already done and enjoy.  I hope you'll get a
charge out of what I'm doing, like I am.

I hope you like what I did and I hope you comment.
And let's not forget about that sky that I spoke of.
